Tabletop Gaming Lounge · Shoreditch

Where every campaign becomes an exhibition.

A gallery-grade gaming lounge on Rivington Street, home to over 900 curated titles, guided campaigns, and hosted tournaments — set against stark white walls that let the game take centre stage.

The white-cube gaming floor at Obsidian Quest Warriors

A note from the founder

We built the room we always wanted to play in.

I opened Obsidian Quest Warriors in 2018 after fifteen years of running Friday-night sessions out of a cramped back room three streets away. I wanted a space where a first-time player and a twenty-year veteran could sit at the same felt-topped table and feel equally at home.

Everything here is deliberate — the white walls, the museum lighting, the way each game box is shelved like a piece worth looking at. We keep the noise down, the rulebooks close, and the coffee good. What we sell isn't just table time; it's the two hours you forget to check your phone.

How it works

Three steps from the door to your first roll.

Browse 900+ titles shelved by weight and mood. Not sure? Tell our host your group size and how long you have — a recommendation lands in under a minute.

A guide teaching the rules at the table
02

Get taught, fast

A resident guide sets up the board and teaches the rules in plain English — usually ten minutes, always without judgement. Then they leave you to it, and stay on call.

Play as long as you like

Table time is £7 per person for the whole session — no clock-watching. Snacks, stone-cold sodas, and proper coffee arrive without you leaving your seat.

Reviews

A night on the floor, in their words.

Video walkthrough of a games night Games Night, filmed on Rivington Street

"Came in as a group of four who'd never played anything heavier than Monopoly. Tomás taught us Wingspan in ten minutes and we stayed four hours. Genuinely the best £7 I've spent in Shoreditch."

Eleanor W. · Hackney · March 2024

"Their Thursday Catan tournament is the highlight of my month. Well run, fiercely competitive, and the white-cube room somehow makes even a bad dice roll feel dignified."

Daniel K. · Islington · January 2024

"Booked the private campaign room for my partner's birthday. Nadia ran a bespoke one-shot for six of us and it was the most fun we've had at a dinner in years. Faultless."

Sofia R. · Bethnal Green · November 2023
